Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ghast AI browser extension ("Extension", "Service", "we", or "our"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension.

1. Service Description

Ghast AI is a browser extension that provides an AI-powered assistant for Web3 activities, including but not limited to:

Conversational AI powered by the 0G decentralized compute network
Cryptocurrency wallet management (create, import, sign transactions)
Browser automation for information gathering
Scheduled monitoring tasks and notifications
Integration with third-party services (Telegram, 0G Storage, etc.)
Optional local Companion daemon for shell commands, MCP servers, and AI code agents

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. By using the Extension for financial transactions, you represent that you are of legal age to enter into binding agreements in your jurisdiction.

3. Account & Wallet Security

3.1 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your wallet password and recovery phrase.
You are solely responsible for all transactions initiated through the Extension, whether or not you authorized them.
You must keep your recovery phrase in a secure, offline location. If you lose it, we cannot recover your wallet.

3.2 No Recovery Service

We cannot recover lost passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases. The Extension uses client-side encryption. We do not have access to your keys and cannot reset your wallet.

4. AI-Assisted Actions

4.1 AI as Assistant, Not Advisor

The AI assistant provides information and executes actions at your direction. It does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any information provided by the AI should be independently verified before making financial decisions.

4.2 Transaction Confirmation

The Extension is designed to simulate transactions before execution and request your explicit confirmation. However:

AI-generated transaction parameters may contain errors.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed on-chain.
You are responsible for reviewing all transaction details before approving.

4.3 Automated Tasks

Scheduled tasks (cron jobs, heartbeat monitoring) execute automatically based on your configuration. You are responsible for:

Reviewing and testing task prompts before enabling them.
Setting appropriate safety limits in the policy engine.
Monitoring task execution results.

5. Local Companion & Code Agents

5.1 Companion Daemon

The optional Companion daemon runs on your local machine and provides capabilities beyond the browser sandbox, including shell command execution, MCP tool server hosting, and AI code agent spawning. By installing and configuring the Companion:

You acknowledge that the Companion executes commands with your local user permissions.
You are responsible for configuring appropriate workspace-scoped permissions to limit file system access.
Commands initiated by the AI through the Companion may modify files, install packages, or run processes on your machine.

5.2 AI Code Agents

When you use code agents (Claude Code, Codex) through the Companion:

Code agents read, write, and modify files in your specified working directory.
Code changes made by agents are your responsibility to review before use.
We do not guarantee the correctness, safety, or quality of AI-generated code.
Code agents may execute shell commands as part of their workflow (e.g., running tests, installing dependencies).

Code agents operate on your real filesystem. Always use workspace-scoped permissions and review changes before deploying to production.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Extension to:

Engage in illegal activities, including money laundering, fraud, or sanctions evasion.
Attempt to exploit, attack, or manipulate DeFi protocols or smart contracts in violation of their terms.
Harass, impersonate, or harm other users or services.
Circumvent security measures or access controls of third-party websites.
Distribute malware, spam, or malicious content through the AI or Telegram integration.
Use code agents to create malicious software, exploit vulnerabilities, or compromise systems you do not own.
Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 0G Network

AI inference and optional data storage are powered by the 0G decentralized network. Use of 0G services is subject to 0G's own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of the 0G network.

7.2 Blockchain Networks

Transactions are executed on public blockchain networks. We do not control these networks and are not responsible for:

Network congestion, downtime, or failures
Transaction fees (gas costs)
Smart contract bugs or exploits
Token value fluctuations

7.3 MCP Tool Servers

The Companion can host third-party MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. These servers are installed and configured by you. We are not responsible for the behavior, security, or data handling of third-party MCP servers.

7.4 Other Integrations

Telegram, Google OAuth, and other third-party integrations are subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party service providers.

8. Intellectual Property

The Extension's source code, design, and documentation are the intellectual property of Ghast AI. Your memory files (soul.md, user.md, etc.) and conversation data belong to you. We claim no ownership over content you create or store using the Extension.

9. Disclaimers

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Specifically, we do not warrant that:

The AI will provide accurate, complete, or reliable information.
The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of vulnerabilities.
Transaction simulations will accurately predict on-chain outcomes.
The 0G network or any third-party service will be available or perform as expected.
Cryptocurrency values will remain stable or that you will not incur losses.
Code generated by AI agents will be correct, secure, or fit for any purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ghast AI and its developers shall not be liable for any:

Financial losses resulting from transactions, smart contract interactions, or market movements.
Data loss resulting from Extension uninstallation, browser data clearing, or 0G network issues.
File system damage resulting from code agent actions or shell commands executed via the Companion.
Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension.
Damages from AI actions taken based on AI-generated recommendations or automated task execution.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Extension is to stop using it and uninstall it.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ghast AI and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Extension
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights
Transactions you execute through the Extension
Commands executed via the Companion on your behalf

12. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the Extension or our website.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice. Upon termination:

Your locally stored data remains on your device until you clear it.
Data stored on 0G remains on the decentralized network per its own retention policies.
Sections 9, 10, and 11 of these Terms survive termination.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing other remedies.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
